Kladissos is a long sandy beach located in the area of Daratsos just 3 km west of the Venetian Port of Chania , opposite the islet of Lazaretta . The beach is formed west of the Kladissos River and extends west to the beach of Chryssi Akti .

On the other side of Kladissos begins the central beach of Nea Chora . Due to the existence of the wetland at the mouth of the Kladissos and the protection regime, the beach is poorly organized.

It is a good choice for those who want to be isolated while being essentially in the city of Chania . In the middle of the beach there are some rocks that separate it from the also beautiful beach of Aptera .

The beach is mainly sandy and shallow, but also has several rocky bottoms. Another beach known by the same name is Kladissos beach in the area of Achlada .
