Apoplystra Folds

The geological folds of the rocks at position Apoplystra , between the beach of Agios Pavlos and the Sandhills of Melissa, are remarkably colorful and have been proposed to be listed to the Natural Monuments of Greece. \ These folds show the strong pressures that the rocks of the area have received in their millions of years of creation. At the point comes the dirt road that leads over the sandhills, while there is a short path with stairs that goes up from the beach of Agios Pavlos .
