Back to newsThe Municipality of Platanias is continuing its series of organized hiking routes across the region. The next walk takes place on Saturday, June 27, in Kolympari, a coastal village on the western tip of Crete near Chania. The meeting and starting point will be the "Diktynna" municipal guesthouse and the local Women's Association hall in Kolympari. These guided walks offer visitors and locals alike a structured way to explore the natural landscapes of western Crete on foot. Kolympari is easily accessible from Chania city, roughly 25 kilometers to the east along the northern coastal road. Participants should arrive at the Diktynna guesthouse ahead of the scheduled start time. Comfortable walking shoes and water are recommended given the summer heat.
