A wildfire broke out earlier today near Ini, a village in the Municipality of Minoa Pediadas, in the Heraklion regional unit of central Crete. Firefighting crews have been deployed and reinforcements are being sent continuously as the operation remains active. Minoa Pediadas is an inland municipality southeast of Heraklion city, in the Pediada plain area.
