Back to newsGreece's food safety authority (EFET) has issued a recall for a batch of marinated trout sold on the Greek market. Laboratory testing at EFET's Athens Food Testing and Research facilities confirmed the presence of a pathogenic microorganism in the product. If you have purchased marinated trout recently in Crete or elsewhere in Greece, check the packaging for any recall notices and do not consume the product. Return it to the point of purchase for a refund. When buying seafood or marinated fish products during your stay, look for items with clear labeling and verified sell-by dates. Supermarkets and local shops are required to remove recalled products from shelves promptly. For the most current list of recalled food products in Greece, visit the official EFET website.
