Hersonissos launches major public spaces upgrade

The municipality of Hersonissos has signed a contract to upgrade the central square and shared public spaces in Hersonissos town, on the north coast of Crete. The project, officially titled "Improvement of Public Spaces in the Municipal Community of Hersonissos," covers redesign and enhancement of communal areas in the town center. Hersonissos is one of the most visited resort areas in Crete, located roughly 26 kilometers east of Heraklion along the northern coastal road. Visitors planning to spend time in the town center should expect construction activity in the area during the works. Once completed, the upgraded square will offer a more comfortable environment for dining, shopping, and exploring the town on foot. No completion date was specified in the announcement.
