Greece's Fuel Pass Vouchers Expire at End of July 2026

Saturday, 13 June 2026/SourceCretaOne/1 min read
Greece's Fuel Pass subsidy vouchers must be redeemed by the end of July 2026. Eligible recipients who have not yet used their prepaid vouchers should do so before this deadline, as unused balances will expire after that date. The Fuel Pass program was introduced by the Greek government to offset rising fuel costs, providing direct subsidies to qualifying residents and vehicle owners. For tourists renting cars or motorbikes in Crete, this deadline does not apply directly, as the vouchers are issued only to Greek residents. However, visitors should be aware that local fuel stations may see increased traffic in the coming weeks as residents rush to use their vouchers before expiry. Renting a vehicle remains a practical way to explore Crete, and fuel prices across the island are widely available at stations in Heraklion, Chania, and Rethymno.
