Kritsa Launches Rotating Pedestrianization Plan for Village Center

Starting this Wednesday, the historic center of Kritsa village in the Lasithi region of eastern Crete will begin a periodic pedestrianization scheme. Under the new measure, vehicle access to the main streets of the village center will be restricted on a rotating schedule, creating car-free zones in one of Crete's most visited traditional settlements. Kritsa, known for its Byzantine church of Panagia Kera and its craft shops, attracts significant tourist traffic.
