The celebration brings together local authorities and community groups to raise awareness about environmental issues affecting the Cretan landscape. Kyparissos is a small village in the Platanias area on the northwestern coast of Crete, roughly 25 kilometers west of Chania. Tourists staying in the Platanias or Chania region are welcome to attend and experience a community-driven cultural event with a focus on nature and sustainability. The event is free and open to the public. It offers a relaxed opportunity to connect with local residents and learn about conservation efforts in this part of Crete.
