BOAK Highway Work Zone: Road Restrictions Between Chania and Kissamos

Road safety works are currently underway on the BOAK highway (the main east-west road across northern Crete) near the village of Nopigeia, on the section between Chania and Kissamos. Warning cones have been placed along the center of the road to guide traffic through the construction zone. Drivers heading west from Chania toward Kissamos should expect lane restrictions and reduced speeds in this area. Tourists renting cars or traveling by bus along this route are advised to allow extra travel time and follow signage carefully. The works are part of ongoing road safety improvements along the BOAK corridor.
