Vouves OIive Museum

The Olive Museum at Vouves is located next to the Monumental Olive Tree of Vouves , with which it forms a harmonious whole. It is housed in a traditional building, which retains all the characteristics of a lean, authentic, smart, functional, traditional architecture of the region.

Its exhibits cover the cycle of crop, collection, production, transportation and storage of olive oil from ancient times until the mid 1950s. In the room dedicated to the cultivation and processing of olives, we see the evolution of the plow, with the wooden plow of Hesiod .

It is called so because it was first described by Hesiod , and this plow was used until the mid-1950s.
