Leggi la storia

Agios Antonios or Kato Selles is located 30km northwest of Agios Nikolaos , in the well hidden and unexplored northern shores of Mirabello area, 3km north of the village Selles and it is administratively part of the village Loumas . The area has several small beaches where you can go by driving north from the village Selles mainly in a passable dirt road.

In the region you will not find anything else, but some cottages and farms. All of the few beaches in north Mirabello are pebbly and surrounded by rough rocks.

Similarly, Agios Antonios area has some small beaches with white round pebbles and stones, making them ideal for fishing, but are not suitable for swimming for families. A significant deterrent to swim in these are the frequent big waves that hit the north Cretan shores and the stony seabed.

If the weather is not windy, the beaches of Agios Antonios are a very good choice for isolation. The main beach of the area is Agios Antonios .

On the beach there are some tamarisk trees, under which you can relax. A few meters south of the beach, there is the cavernous chapel of Agios Antonios . 200m east of Agios Antonios , on the way to the beach Patsavra , you will first meet the stony beach of Vato Mouri.
