Kamarelles beach at Koufonissi

Kamarelles Beach , opposite the small islet of Marmaro and next to the ancient Roman Theatre and the Roman buildings of Lefki , is an amazing sandy beach on Koufonissi Island . It is very interesting to watch parts of ancient pillars while snorkeling.

On the south end of the beach, we meet two impressive natural arches, called Kamarelles. Opposite, we see the islet of Makroulo which hosts a very small sandy beach, ideal for seclusion.

Koufonissi is a small and arid island, located 3 miles south of Goudouras Cape and 80km southeast of Agios Nikolaos . You can visit the place either by getting an excursion boat from Makrigialos .

The island is surrounded by 36 amazing sandy beaches with crystal turquoise waters, that are totally unknown to everybody.
