Hamoprina Wood at Malia

Chamoprina is a small wood with low oak trees, located 4km south of Malia town . It can be accessed very easily from Malia , because it is located on the road connecting Malia with Krassi village and Lassithi Plateau , at the point where the stream Stena starts.

The forest covers a large area and is very dense, especially with low oak trees. It is protected and has been conserved by the local authorities, that have constructed benches, tables, trails, etc.

Also, from here starts the steep path to the Azilakodasos wood of Selena , near Krassi .
