Fraro Monastery at Neapolis

The Monastery of Fraro or Saint Anthony (Agios Antonios) in Simeti is located 1km west of Neapolis . It is a ruined Franciscan convent dedicated to Saint Anthony (San Antonio) .

The name Fraro comes from the Latin word Frari , as the Franciscan friars were called. The monastery has typical Roman architecture and is currently ruined.

Close to the temple, at position Vigli , you will see a modern sculpture, where Mother's Day is celebrated on the first Sunday of May.
