Leggi la storia
Finikidia beach is located in the territory of the village of Saktouria of Agios Vasilios , between Agia Galini and Agios Pavlos . It is formed near a stream, on the banks of which there is a fairly large cluster of Cretan palm trees ( Phoenix theophrastii ).
This cluster also gives the name Finikidia to the area. In the area there are scattered mainly luxurious residences villas to rent.
A road descends to the beach which has coarse sand and pebbles, but also quite a rocky bottom. In the same bay, to the west, the most distant beach of Varkotopos is formed, which is not affected by waves.
