Analipsis beach

Analipsi beach is located in the Makrygialos area, 58 km southeast of Agios Nikolaos and 23 km east of Ierapetra , in the periphery of the village of Pefki . It is located near the outlet of the stream that flows through the lush green gorge of Pefki .

Together with the neighboring Makrygialos , the area has experienced intense tourist development and is the largest tourist destination in southeastern Crete. The resort essentially consists of the two settlements, Makrygialos to the west and Analipsi to the east, which have now been united.

In Analipsi there are the largest hotels, while you can also find taverns, restaurants, bars and cafes, supermarkets, a bakery, an ATM, a doctor's office and a pharmacy. The main beach of Analipsi is known as Hani or Megali Paralia .

It is a relatively narrow strip of beach with fine sand, surrounded by many cafes, taverns, while in many places there are large tamarisk trees. It is very well organized with umbrellas, water sports, showers, etc.

The waters are very shallow and calm, making it ideal for families with small children. The eastern end of the large beach of Analipsi is called Manousos beach or Chalavridi , from where one can walk through the sea to the two sandy bays of Lagoufa , next to the large hotels in the area.

Right at the tip of the cape on the side of Lagoufa, where the school of the area is located, is the small rocky beach of Aspromouri , which takes its name from the color of the rocks.
