Greek Police Warn of Fraudulent Europol Email Scams

Monday, 22 June 2026/SourceFlashnews/1 min read
The Greek Police (ELAS) has issued a public warning about a fraudulent email circulating online that falsely uses the names and credentials of Europol and the Greek Police. Recipients are urged not to open attachments, click any links, or provide personal or financial information in response to these messages. The emails are not from either organization and are being used to deceive individuals, potentially for financial fraud or data theft. Tourists in Greece should be aware that neither Europol nor the Greek Police will contact individuals by unsolicited email requesting personal details or payments. If you receive such a message, delete it immediately and report it to local authorities or the Greek Cyber Crime Unit.
