A 14-year-old student from the 1st Gymnasium of New Heraklion was arrested by DIAS police officers after being found in possession of a 29cm knife and a butterfly knife.
The incident occurred on Friday morning when two students reported the incident to the school authorities, who then notified the police.
The student's parents are expected to face charges of neglecting a minor.
