Platanias Boosts Tourist Police with Service Bicycles

The Municipality of Platanias has provided two fully equipped service bicycles to the Tourist Police of Chania. The handover took place on Friday, May 22, 2026, at the Municipal Office in Gerani. The Tourist Police are responsible for assisting visitors across the region, and the addition of bicycles will allow officers to patrol more flexibly, particularly in coastal and pedestrian-friendly areas where vehicles are less practical. Tourists in the Platanias and Chania area can expect a more visible and accessible police presence this season.
