The Municipality of Viannos, in the southeastern part of Crete, has launched its annual "Kondylakeia 2026" summer cultural programme. The event series runs throughout the summer season and includes music evenings, theatre performances, festivals, and sporting events. Viannos is a mountainous inland municipality located south of Heraklion, known for its traditional villages and historical significance. The Kondylakeia programme is named in honour of local heritage and offers visitors an opportunity to experience authentic Cretan culture away from the main coastal tourist centres.
