Ligiofarago Gorge

Ligiofarago is one of the few canyons of East Asterousia range that one can walk down to the sea without needing technical equipment. Recently the path has been signed, connecting Achendrias to Maridaki , running through the gorge.

The route passes through spectacular geological formations and requires good physical condition due to the rocky bottom and the several points that climbing is needed. Near Maridaki the gorge merges with Achendrias Gorge and we come nearby the impressive waterfall of Lichnistis (It has water after rainfalls) and we reach the spring of Maridaki with the towering plane trees and the small creek leading to the beach.
