Krya Vryssi shelter at Kedros

The Krya Vrysi shelter is the only shelter on Mount Kedros . It is located at an altitude of 1100 meters and very close to the imposing waterfall of Gre Dafni above the village Krya Vrysi.

Access is from the dirt road that goes up to the Krya Vryssi climbing field and the waterfall. With a little attention it can be approached by a conventional car.

The spot has an incredible view of Asiderotas and Vouvala , while it is an excellent starting point for the ascent to the top of Kedros (1776m). The Krya Vrysi refuge is managed by the Greek Mountaineering Association of Rethymno (EOS Rethymno) and has been operating since 2023.
