Lire l'histoire

The beaches of Legameni are located 26km east of Agios Nikolaos and 5km north of the village of Kavousi in the Ierapetra region. They take their name from Cape Legameni , which shelters them.

These are two small coves, nestled among rocky formations, exuding a sense of complete tranquility and seclusion. The clear blue waters make them an ideal destination for those seeking peaceful corners away from busy shores.

The seabed is quite rocky, and there is no natural shade from trees along the coast. The northernmost beach of Legameni is somewhat less rocky.

A striking feature is the presence of aquatic plants (rushes) sprouting among the rocks, indicating the existence of freshwater in places. The beaches face east and offer views of the impressive cliffs of Malavra .

Access is first by car to Tholos . From there, after parking near the small harbor, you walk a few minutes along the coast to the north.

As there are no facilities whatsoever, visitors should bring all essentials with them.
