Greece's summer sales season is approaching, offering tourists and locals significant discounts across clothing, footwear, electronics, and household goods. By law, retailers must display both the original and discounted prices clearly, and advertised discounts must reflect genuine previous prices. Sales typically run from mid-July through late August, covering most high streets and shopping centers across Crete, including in Heraklion, Chania, and Rethymno. Tourists visiting during this period can expect reductions of 20 to 50 percent in many stores. It is worth comparing prices before purchasing, as not all "sale" items represent equal value.
