Firefighting units were dispatched to the scene as a precautionary measure. The incident was contained and there are no current reports of major property damage or injuries. Finiakia is a coastal area west of Heraklion city. Tourists in or near that zone should follow any instructions from local authorities and avoid the immediate area until the situation is fully cleared. No road closures or broader disruptions to travel in the Heraklion region have been reported at this time.
