Leer la historia
South of the archaeological site of Aptera and near the village Stylos , at position Azogires, we meet the domed tomb of Stylos that came to light in 1961, already looted, by the archaeologists Nikolaos Platon and Kostas Davaras . This monumental tomb was of a local lord and has a circular stone chamber and long, road corridor (20,80 m long).
The relieving triangle above the entrance hosted 12 cups of the Hellenistic period , a fact that confirms that ceremonies took place there. Such Hellenistic pottery was also found in the corridor.
