Leer la historia
At the eastern edge of Pera Galini beach , the small cape Kefali Soudas is formed. The ruins of a Minoan settlement, which is thought to have been one of the most important ports in the region of Talea Range , have been discovered there.
On Kefali , you will see the excavations with plastic covers reminding of greenhouses, which are still in progress and have brought a sanctuary to light. It is considered that the settlement was destroyed by an earthquake.
Access in the fenced archaeological site is prohibited.
