Daskalio beach at Kyriamadi

Daskalio beach is located within the boundaries of the Naval Base in Kyriamadi , Sitia, near Cape Sidero . Access from land is prohibited due to the military zone.

At the narrowest point of land, before reaching Cape Sidero , two bays are created. The western one is the bay of Kyriamadi , which hosts the port and the main facilities of the Naval Base.

The eastern one is the bay of Daskalio with its beautiful beach. The bay takes its name from the islet of Daskalio off the beach.

The beach has fine pebbles and impressive geological formations, while there is no natural shade except for the high rocks above it.
