Archaeological Museum of Chania

The Archaeological Museum of Chania is located in the historic district of Halepa in the city of Chania , in the former Hatzidakis camp. The exhibition includes findings from the Neolithic period, the Late Minoan period, the geometric period up to the Roman years.

The collections include Minoan finds from the city and the prefecture, prehistoric finds from caves, finds from tombs of the geometric period, finds from historical times from the city of Chania and from various other cities of the prefecture, coins, jewelry (prehistoric and historical times), sculptures, inscriptions, columns, mosaics. The museum also houses the collection of Konstantinos, Marika, and Kyriakos Mitsotakis that was donated to the Archaeological Museum of Chania in the year 2000.
