Pervola Gorge

In the east Asterousia range and west of the village Mournia is formed the small fertile plateau of Pervola which is full of vineyards, olive trees and gardens and is the "orchard" of the village. Here is the picturesque church of Saint Irene (Agia Irini) with a spring of fresh water next to it.

The waters of this small plateau are concentrated in the stream Perivoliano , which later forms the wild gorge of Pervola (also known as Gerontzou ) that ends on Kaminaki beach .
