Zou Tower

Zou is a small scenic village located 7km south of Sitia . Its name probably derives from the Turkish word su , which means water , as water abounds here, flowing from the famous spring of Zou .

The village is known for the Minoan mansion of Zou on the road to Sitia . In the middle of the village, there was built a small Venetian tower, which is still in good condition.

The tower is used even today as a home.
