Saint George Harodias monastery at Perivolia

Very close to Perivolia , province Kydonia , you will find the deserted and almost unknown monastery of Saint George (Agios Georgios) Harodias . Very close to the city of Chania , this small monastery is still quite unknown to the residents of the town.

The monastery was built on the 12th century by a local rich resident of Chania area. The monastery operated as a male monastery till the mid of the 20th century, when it was abandoned.

Today you will still find the monk cells and the church of Saint George.
