Polirizos beach at Rodakino

The village Rodakino is located 45km southeast of Rethymno city , on the exit of the steep canyon Rodakino that runs across the mountain Kryoneritis , a few kilometers west of Plakias resort and east of Fragokastelo . Half a kilometer to the west of Rodakino's main beach, Korakas , we meet the beach of Polirizos , surrounded by dense olive groves.

To get here, you have to follow the paved road leading west from Korakas, along the shore. After passing a small sandhill and some little coves, you'll meet the small settlement Polirizos, with some rooms and taverns.

In front of Polirizos, stretches a small lovely beach with fine sand and shallow, calm waters. The beach is very suitable for children; it's slightly organized, with umbrellas and sunbeds.

The seaside road stops here because in the western part of the coast rises the rocky hill Kastelos , and continues to the innerland. On the other side of the hill, Kastelos stretches the amazing long bay of Peristeres , accessed by turning left about 500m after Polirizos.
