Marathokefala Cave

The Cave Marathokefala or Marathospilios is located next to the village Kynigiana ,  around 29km southeast of Rethymnon city . The wider area of Psiloritis Range and the province Mylopotamos , where it is located, hosts a large number of caves.

Marathokefala is one of the most interesting caves in Milopotamos, with its length exceeding 160m. It has not active cave decor, while in several places there are traces of water.
