Saint George church in Axos

The church of Saint George (Agios Georgios) is located in the forecourt of the church of Saint Raphael, Nicolas and Irene in the picturesque village Axos in province Mylopotamos. It consists of the old single-aisled church of the 14th century, which was later extended.

It bears frescoes in poor condition, while on its exterior there are architectural elements from buildings of the Ancient Oaxos . The church celebrates in April 23rd, Saint George's Day.
