Monday, 1 June 2026/SourceHaniotika Nea/1 min read
A maritime exclusion zone has been established off the coast of Drapano (Akti Drapano) in Crete from June 1 to June 6, 2026. Each day during this period, vessel passage through the affected area will be prohibited from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM due to military activities. Boats and watercraft operating in the area should plan alternative routes during these hours. The restriction is temporary and daily access resumes after 6:00 PM. Tourists planning boat trips, water taxis, or sailing excursions near the Drapano coastline should check with local operators before departing, as schedules or routes may be affected during this window.
