Read the story
The church of Panagia Zerviotissa (i.e. left-handed) or Monastira is located east of the village Stylos , province Apokoronas. It is a 12th-century cruciform temple with an octagonal dome, each dome bearing a window on each side and supported by four pillars.
The ground plan resembles a three-aisled basilica with three semi-cylindrical arches. The external surfaces host blind arches.
On the west arch of the south aisle there is a rectangular door with a relief arch, where part of a Roman inscription is embedded. There two-lobe windows, while the two lateral arches bear single-lobe windows.
The temple was frescoed, as can be seen from the few surviving traces.
