Three Race Categories
I Run Myrthos 2026 is Crete's premier summer running event, featuring three distances to suit all abilities. The main race covers 12 km of scenic coastal road, while the 5 km option offers a shorter challenge. Young runners aged 6–12 can participate in a dedicated 750 m kids' race.
Spectacular Coastal Route
The event takes place on Saturday, 25 July 2026, in Myrthos, a picturesque village near Ierapetra in southern Crete. Runners will traverse stunning coastal roads with views of the Libyan Sea and surrounding mountains, making this one of the most scenic race experiences in Greece.
Myrthos: A Runner's Paradise
Myrthos is known for its dramatic clifftop location overlooking a turquoise Mediterranean cove. The village offers traditional Cretan hospitality, local tavernas, and direct access to beautiful beaches. The route showcases the region's natural beauty, combining sea vistas with mountainous terrain.
