Back to newsOn July 12 at 9:30 PM, the village of Sfakia in southwestern Crete will host a special tribute concert at Frangokastello to honor Nikos Xylouris, known as the "Archangel of Crete," marking 90 years since his birth. Xylouris was one of the most celebrated lyra players and singers in Cretan musical history, and this event celebrates his life and legacy through a performance called "Psaronikos." Frangokastello is a 14th-century Venetian fortress along the south coast, making it a scenic and historically rich venue.
