A 35-year-old man, identified as the son of a well-known journalist, has been arrested following a violent attack on a police officer in Crete. The incident occurred Thursday morning around 9:30 AM in the Ampelokepi area, when the suspect attacked an officer with an axe, causing injuries. After fleeing the scene, the man was located and apprehended in the Ellinorousoi area shortly after.
According to reports, the suspect was believed to be experiencing psychological difficulties at the time of the incident. Police responded swiftly to secure the individual and ensure public safety.
