A road accident occurred on Thursday afternoon in the Agii Apostoli area of Chania, western Crete, when two vehicles collided. Emergency services from EKAB (the Greek national ambulance service) responded immediately to the scene. One person was transported to hospital following the collision. Details on the severity of injuries have not been fully disclosed. Agii Apostoli is a coastal area located a short drive west of Chania city, popular with both locals and visitors. Tourists driving in the Chania region should exercise caution on local roads, particularly during midday hours when traffic can be heavier. Road conditions in parts of western Crete can include narrow lanes and sharp bends. Always wear a seatbelt, observe speed limits, and allow extra time when driving between coastal villages and the city center.
