Crete Basks in Sunshine as Northern Greece Braces for Rain

Crete is experiencing mostly clear, sunny conditions today, making it an excellent day for outdoor activities, beach visits, and sightseeing across the island. The broader Greek forecast shows some cloud cover developing over parts of central Macedonia and eastern Thessaly, with a chance of localized rainfall in those northern regions, but these conditions are not expected to affect Crete. Visitors can expect good visibility and comfortable weather for exploring archaeological sites, coastal areas, and mountain villages. If you are planning excursions to popular destinations such as Knossos, the Samaria Gorge, or the beaches of Elafonisi and Balos, conditions look favorable. As always in June, carry water, apply sunscreen, and plan strenuous outdoor activities for the morning hours before temperatures peak in the early afternoon.
