Authorities in Crete rescued and received 43 migrants who disembarked at Kalos Limenes, a small coastal village on the southern coast of the island in the Heraklion regional unit. Kalos Limenes, also known as Fair Havens, is a quiet area near Lendas popular with visitors for its beaches and historic significance as the bay mentioned in the Acts of the Apostles. The arrivals were handled by local coast guard services. This type of event is not uncommon along Crete's southern coastline. There are no reported disruptions to tourist access in the area. Visitors traveling along the southern coast road toward Lendas or Matala may encounter temporary coast guard activity but should not expect significant delays or closures.
