Back to newsRefreshment kiosks are opening at two locations along the Venetian Walls in Heraklion, starting July 3rd. The kiosks are situated at the Jesus Gate and the Pantokrator Gate, two of the historic entry points of the 16th-century Venetian fortifications that encircle the old city. The initiative is backed by the municipality under Mayor Alexis Kalokairinos. Visitors exploring the walls during the summer heat will now have access to drinks and snacks directly on-site, making it easier to spend more time at one of Heraklion's most impressive landmarks. The Venetian Walls are free to walk and offer panoramic views of the city and sea. Both gate locations are accessible on foot from the city center.
