Chania delays music license decision amid Old Town noise complaints

The Municipal Committee of Chania has granted a one-week postponement before revoking extended music licenses at three venues in the Old Town. The licenses in question allow music to continue after 11pm, and the committee met on Monday morning to address complaints about noise in the historic district. Visitors staying in or near Chania's Old Town should be aware that late-night music at these venues may continue for at least another week while the committee reviews the situation. After that period, affected establishments may be required to stop amplified music at 11pm.
