Ikos Kissamos, described as the largest luxury hospitality investment in Crete, has opened its doors to its first guests. The resort is located in the Kissamos area of western Crete, in the Chania regional unit. Ikos is a well-established Greek luxury all-inclusive brand known for its high-end facilities, dining, and services. This opening expands premium accommodation options on the western side of the island, an area that has historically seen less large-scale tourism development than the north coast. Travelers looking for an upscale all-inclusive experience in a less crowded part of Crete now have a new option. Kissamos is accessible from Chania, roughly 40 kilometers to the east, and sits near the Gramvousa peninsula and Balos lagoon, two of Crete's most visited natural landmarks.
