We follow the trail, cross the amazing Kamares oak wood and reach the cave. The cave was one of the most important sanctuaries of the Minoans and has been linked to some of the most beautiful pottery samples of the Minoan Era, the eggshell vases of Kamares type, as they were found here.
We return back to the junction of the first path and keep descending to Kamares village. The last steep part of the route is along the cement water channel transferring water to Kamares.
