The National Public Health Organization (EODY) is modernizing Greece's epidemiological surveillance mechanism to improve early detection of health risks and more effective public health protection. An evaluation of the existing surveillance system was conducted, analyzing operational gaps and deviations to identify areas for improvement.

These upgrades aim to strengthen the country's capacity to detect and respond rapidly to public health threats, ensuring better protection for Greek citizens.
