Celestyal Cruises Adds Agios Nikolaos to Mediterranean Itineraries

Thursday, 18 June 2026/SourceTornos News/1 min read
The port of Agios Nikolaos, located on the northeastern coast of Crete, has been added to Celestyal Cruises' seven-day Mediterranean itineraries. This partnership marks a significant development for the region, bringing cruise passengers directly into one of Crete's most scenic coastal towns, known for its picturesque lake, waterfront tavernas, and proximity to the Minoan archaeological site of Gournia. The inclusion is expected to increase visitor numbers to the wider Lasithi prefecture, benefiting local businesses, restaurants, and tour operators. For travelers arriving by cruise, the town center is walkable from the port, with rental cars and organized excursions available for reaching nearby attractions such as Spinalonga island and the Elounda bay area. No specific start date for the new sailings has been confirmed in the announcement.
